Presentation of the Intensive Program in Melilla 2018

Melilla will host from July 3 to 9 the first of the meetings of the European Project 3Economy+ involving students and professors from Melilla, Malta and Portalegre in Portugal, which will promote the exchange of experiences on issues such as economics , marketing and tourism.

In a press conference, the Minister of Presidency and Public Health (Melilla Governmen), Paz Velázquez, affirms that 3Economy+ "is an innovative project" in which the presence of some forty people is expected, among students and professors of the three participating centers in this exchange .

Miguel Ángel Montero, project coordinator, explains that 3Economy+ will be developed for three years and that the meeting that takes place in Melilla is the first one planned.

Indicates that in Melilla will be spoken in Spanish and different actions related to the economy will be developed, while in Malta it will be spoken in English and the subject of tourism will be worked on and finally in Portalegre the language will be Portuguese and the theme to be developed will be the marketing.

María López Vallejo, responsible for the Intensive Programme, explains that throughout these days they will be giving language training seminars and collaborative micro-workshops in differents aspect of economy will be organized.

Monographic conferences on the Tourism Board of Melilla, lectures on the management of the Port Authority and everything related to free ports, fiscal transformation of Melilla, and a final plenary conference on the importance of the internationalization of universities will also be given.

It includes three complementary training visits to the Port Authority, the Promesa business incubator and the technology center, while taking advantage of the celebration of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, to include dramatized visits to Melilla and a multicultural meeting of gastronomy and art .

These cultural activities, which also include visits to the Melilla Modernista, the route of the temples and film forum in the Cárabos, have the backing of the Consejerías de Educación, Juventud y Deportes; Cultura y Festejos; Economía y Administraciones Públicas y Presidencia y Salud Pública (Melilla Governmen).
